Compass Box's delicious Spice Tree was briefly illegitimate, according to SWA regulations. After adjusting its creation, Spice Tree is back, and better than ever. It's a blended malt made from Highland malt whiskies, aged in specially made casks with new French oak heads.
In April 2015, it was named Best Blended Malt Scotch at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Fragrant and aromatic with notes of dried herbs, spices, oak and vanilla. Has a bourbon note to it and a peppery tang.
Gingernut biscuits, toffee spices, herbal, vanilla, very rich and peppery.
Very spicy, big and rich.

Tried this blend at specialty store and fell in love with its robust flavors and incredible smoothness. Keep in mind, the "spice" does not refer to a burning sensation but it describes the bold flavors used to create this wonderful and reasonably price whisky...cheers!
I love aberlour a'bunadh and glenfarclas 105 but I love Spice Tree even more!

Probably the best non peated whiskey I've tried at this price point. Exceptionally smooth for an unaged expression, very sweet and bursting with honeyed flavours. Very rich mouthfeel and also very accessible. This will be the default dram in the house from now on!
