Compass Box's delicious Spice Tree was briefly illegitimate, according to SWA regulations. After adjusting its creation, Spice Tree is back, and better than ever. It's a blended malt made from Highland malt whiskies, aged in specially made casks with new French oak heads.
In April 2015, it was named Best Blended Malt Scotch at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Fragrant and aromatic with notes of dried herbs, spices, oak and vanilla. Has a bourbon note to it and a peppery tang.
Gingernut biscuits, toffee spices, herbal, vanilla, very rich and peppery.

Usually the sweet nonpeaty whiskyes dont rock my boat often...but this is something else! Cinnamon, honey, vanilla and liquorice all in perfect balance. I wonder what a cask strenght would taste like....

Wonderful nose, taste and finish.
Light on the nose, but nice nutmeg and pepper on the palate with a touch of smoke and fruit peels. Oaky dryness cuts through initial sweetness mid-palate. Delishus (hic)
Nice packaging makes a nice gift and it is a smooth, almost Japanese-like taste and nose,(Hakushu?).
