    Single Malt

    Clynelish 14 Year Old

A coastal and peaty single malt, the flagship expression from Clynelish boasts a fabulous flavour profile filled with its distinctive waxy notes. Clynelish is the successor to Brora which closed in 1983, which it is built opposite. A well rounded Highlander, though this expression is a bit less peaty than the Brora bottlings of yore.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

    Zesty, mandarin, tangerine. Smoky.

    Palate

Quite light, great clarity. Orange, soft acidity. Dry oak. Mixed fruits, vanilla, leather.

    Finish

Quite long, bitter sweetness developing, spicy oak.

    Wow

What a superb, complex and fascinating flavour profiled whisky this is!

    Moderately peaty, tasty release.

    Fine!

    Excellent

It is about the best I ever tasted. Where it differs from others is peaty but not too smokey. You might like to know this comment is from a female! Sorry you can send any to the US. Nicola

    Oak and citrus forward.

Tuath glass shows chestnut oloroso sherry. The nose shows a lot of rich citrus and vanilla. The palate is vanilla forward with a light backbone of citrus with hints of honey and just a whisper of smoke. Moderate alcohol burn. After 2 drops of water - more oak and citrus. Excellent

    Easy drinking and undemanding

Approachable, light, fruity, bitter orange oil, red apple, the lightest touch of burnt sugar. Finish is raw cookie dough. Easy drinking, well balanced, complex enough to engage but not so demanding that you spend all evening nosing a single glass, a good session whisky. No idea where "The Chaps at Master of Malt" are finding the peat, maybe it's all that smoke they're blowing...
