    Single Malt

    Clynelish 14 Year Old

A coastal and peaty single malt, the flagship expression from Clynelish boasts a fabulous flavour profile filled with its distinctive waxy notes. Clynelish is the successor to Brora which closed in 1983, which it is built opposite. A well rounded Highlander, though this expression is a bit less peaty than the Brora bottlings of yore.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

    Zesty, mandarin, tangerine. Smoky.

    Palate

Quite light, great clarity. Orange, soft acidity. Dry oak. Mixed fruits, vanilla, leather.

    Finish

Quite long, bitter sweetness developing, spicy oak.

    Highland bliss in a bottle

One of my favourite whiskies, the 14 year never fails to delight, beautiful flavour and smooth on the palate. I've had a few of these and have jut been given another as a most welcome present. add a few drops of spring water. just a few mind yae!

    Very good core range whisky

The abv. is perfect to bring the aromas out from this whisky, with its thick taste and the light oily texture. Nose: Orange peels, dark berries, a little bit of the so-called earthiness, some sea breeze, but I can't find any smoke. In Oban 14, for example, I can find a discreet smoke, but not in this one. The orange peels and the earthiness reminds me about Talisker... On the palate I can find a kind of weak smoke, some oak, sweetness, shy caramel. Yes, a quite long, bitter sweetness at the finish, and it's peppery, not oaky... I think... A good whisky, and a very good whisky for its price level. I thin one has to try a few glasses of this whisky before giving it any stars. Very good, and very good for its price. Like it!

    Bursting with flavour

Packed with flavour with a slight white pepper nip which refreshes the palate. Taste lingers without being overly oily.

At par with Glenfarclas 12 and Glendronach 12

One of the best in similar price band. Visited this distillery in 2019.

One of the best core range whiskies out there

Holy alliance of beeswax, orange peel and briny sea air. Very intense, very unique, very tasty.
