Carsebridge 52 Year Old 1964 (cask 89153) - Single Cask (Master of Malt)

Very rare single grain Scotch whisky here, distilled by Carsebridge all the way back in January 1964! This was filled into cask #89153 and left to mature for 52 years(!) before we bottled it for our Single Cask Collection in November 2016. The distillery was opened in 1799 and stood for well over 150 years before being closed in 1983 - the '80s were a tumultuous time for many distilleries, and Carsebridge was sadly one of the many casualties.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Butterscotch and chocolate raisins. Toasted teacakes, Campino sweeties and a hint of poached pear.

    Palate

Dried apples, vanilla and new leather. Drying with exotic spices and old oak. Slightly oily at points.

    Finish

Soft cinnamon and cumin. Banana fritters.
