Cardhu Gold Reserve is a whisky that's as smooth and golden as its namesake. Cardhu Gold Reserve is a blend of Speyside and Highland single malt whiskies, each aged for at least 12 years. The result is a complex yet well-balanced whisky with notes of honey, vanilla, and citrus. Cardhu Gold Reserve is the perfect choice for those looking for a sophisticated yet approachable whisky.
Cardhu is the latest Diageo distillery to have a little core range shake up with the launch of a no age statement single malt (or two). Created using hand-picked toasted oak casks, Cardhu Gold Reserve offers something different to the classic 12 year old with a fruitier nose and a dry, warming palate.
Honeyed tinned stone fruits, toffees and a hint of strawberry with red apple and ginger coming through with a little water.
Fairly dry with biscuity oak and a little cinnamon as well as some development of those toffee and apple notes.
Gentle oak and (milk chocolate) caramel digestives.
Described as a "generous" whisky, it's a description that matches both the nose and its general easy-drinking nature.

Really nice. Was lucky to pick this up for £25. Initially thought stay clear as it was a non age statement but took a chance. Good sweet nose, and the taste is long, sweet and very toffee caramel like. Extremely good bang for your buck.
Fabulously smooth, like worthers originals mixed with apple. Gorgeous dram, and worth every penny.
Has been on offer in Tesco's at £25.00. Mellow, easy drinking with lots of subtle character, it has quickly become my Dad's favourite tipple. Worth £42.00 so a steal at £25.00!
Picked a bottle up for £25 on offer in Tesco. A real bargain from it'd usual price of £42. Deep nose, cinnamon and toffee.come through strong. Very smooth on the palate, for me it's like warm butterscotch toffee. Like a worthers original, with a hint of chocolate. Very enjoyable. Not sure how I'd feel about paying £42 for a bottle, but have no hesitation if you can pick it up on offer. A lovely, easy drinking, enjoyable scotch.
Just picked up a bottle of this at Tesco for £25 Stunning value for money. The toffee and the red Apple come through on a light, floral palate. Very smooth and easy to drink. Pick it up at this bargain price while you can.
