Honeyed tinned stone fruits, toffees and a hint of strawberry with red apple and ginger coming through with a little water.
Fairly dry with biscuity oak and a little cinnamon as well as some development of those toffee and apple notes.

Dangerously smooth on an inexperienced palate. One could very easily overindulge especially at the selling price.
Its some time since I have drink Cardhu which I remember as good but indistinctive. This Gold reserve is more complex but simple if thats possible. In my experience of life it takes skill to make complex things simple. This dram is so easy and simple to drink that there is plenty of opportunity to consider what I have just written. Only one complaint The bottle seems to empty very quickly !!
