Caol Ila single malt is always a popular pick for independent bottlers. In this case, the Islay whisky was distilled in 2014 and then spent 9 years in a pair of Italian Amarone wine barriques. It was bottled by Hannah Whisky Merchants to pay tribute to Dalgety Bay, which the independent whisky bottler calls home.
BBQ meat, sea shell, orange peel, coffee grounds, and rich smoke.
Red berries, sticky toffee pudding with dates, smoked ham, cinnamon, and brine.
Smoky and sweet until the end.
