Independently bottled single malt from Caol Ila, selected by the folks at Fadandel in Denmark! Distilled in 2011, the whisky spent seven years maturing in a first fill Entre Deux Mers wine barrique, which has imparted deliciously sweet layers to the classic Caol Ila smokiness. Released in 2018 with a total outturn of 307 cask strength bottles.
A delicate balance of salty peat smoke and sweet, vinous oak.
Zesty wafts of candied citrus, bonfire embers, and plenty of smoke are lifted by delicately floral fruit and a waft of vanilla.
Pepper, plenty of prickling spice, the fruitiness remains, but nestled amongst lingering layers of ash and peat.
