A fine young Caol Ila single malt joins the Benchmark collection from indie bottler Murray McDavid. This single malt spent four of its five years in a selection of first-fill Madeira wine barriques imparting sweet notes of fruit and maple syrup to the robust peaty malt at its core.
Intense and peaty, with barbecued meat and smoked nuts alongside juicy apple sweetness.
Sweet, cakey spice and juicy orchard fruits cushion bold, smoky ash and smouldering embers.
Salted tablet, maple syrup, stewed berries, and cracked black peppercorns.
