This Caol Ila single malt has been given the sherry cask treatment, courtesy of the crew at Darkness! Matured for 14 years, the whisky was treated to a finish in an oloroso sherry octave resulting in heaps of citrus and spice to support the earthy, peaty salinity at its core.
Briny minerality with baking spices and earthy peat bolstered by sweet candied orange.
Tarry coals and poached stone fruits mingle, with runny caramel, oaken vanilla, and waves of salted lemon.
