An 11-year-old single malt from Caol Ila joins Parcel No.11 of the Reserve Casks series from The Single Malts of Scotland. Distilled in 2012, the whisky was filled into four refill butts to mature, which were opened up in 2023.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Classic coastal notes, with smoked, salted caramel, creamy custard, a touch of jammy fruit, and tarry peat.
Palate
Rich waves of toasted vanilla collide with dense peat smoke, with preserved lemons and earthy tea gathering beneath.
Finish
The smoke lingers, alongside zesty citrus, and some fiery candied ginger.
