A single cask single malt Scotch whisky from Islay's Caol Ila Distillery, independently bottled by James Eadie. This one was distilled in January 2012 and filled into one solitary re-charred hogshead, where it slumbered soundly for a whole decade. Following that, the James Eadie team bottled it up at cask strength, with just 262 bottles produced.
Toasted cedar and grassy peat, with hints of salted crackers and cinnamon biscuits.
Slightly buttery, with green fruit sweetness. Crisp smoke develops later on.
Seaweed and more baking spice on the finish.
