The renowned Canadian whisky, married in white oak barrels. Canadian Club was founded by whisky mogul Hiram Walker.
The nose is of medium-body with notes of barley sugar and aniseed, notes of cut grass and fennel, a hint of straw and a vegetal freshness. The palate is quite sweet and gentle. There are notes of winter spice and dark sugars, a touch of rum. The finish is of medium-sweetness and of medium-length.
An almost sticky sweetness not usually found in whiskey, even bourbons. I'd go as far to say this has rum overtones. On ice it is a uniquely enjoyable drink, at the price I think it's underrated.
My first Canadian whiskey. I found it smooth and Oakey as advertised and I see it as a stepping stone to higher quality Canadian whiskies m
Love it! Especially with slice of orange, dry ginger and ice, nothing better! Just struggle to buy it anywhere now....... People don’t know what they are missing!
Used to drink this in the 70s gone back to it now and reminiscing of glorious times when I was young.
Discovered CC when I was 23 years old - now at 75 years old still a favourite - Rye & Dry with ice and a slice of orange - one of the very best!!!
