A fab 27 year old single grain from the Cameronbridge Distillery, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company exclusively for us! The label features Dr. Patrick Barrie lining up a likely-successful Tiddlywinks shot. Why do we reckon it'll be successful? Well, because Dr. Patrick Barrie is an nine-time Tiddlywinks World Singles Champion! So, yeah, that wink is probably going in.
Batch 9 is a release of 220 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Honeycomb and hot chocolate, with brighter hints of toasted marshmallow and yellow plum.
Fresh summer berries, waxy peels and a touch of drying kitchen herbs (think basil and mint leaf). Plenty of toffee notes here, too.
Flaky apricot pastries and milky coffee.
Just sampled this on Pour & Sip live. This is a great whisky with fantastic hits of flavour that encompasses a lot of sweet and spicy notes. The first thing I noticed was a smell of oak and dust, followed quickly by baked apple and cinnamon. The dram didn’t disappoint throughout, with citrus and spice on the palate followed by a great butteriness, leaving a nice long finish.
