A grand old single grain Scotch whisky from the long-lost Cambus distillery, independently bottled by us for our own Master of Malt collection. Distilled in 1990, this whisky enjoyed a mighty 34-year slumber, beginning in a refill barrel, and finishing in a rum barrel for a wonderfully waxy profile, laden with notes of waffles and honeyed melon. A release of 259 bottles, without added colour or chill filtration.
Fresh fruit salad, brown butter cookies, maple pancakes, and candied nuts. Wafers, waxed citrus, fresh leather, and polished oak emerge in time.
Fruity and zesty, with rich old oak and mellow sweetness. Waffles, honey, fresh melon, and a touch of lychee lead to buttery fudge and a sprinkling of drying spice.
Leather, oak, and cigar box spice, boozy stewed fruits, butter biscuits, and honeycomb wax.
