That Boutique-y Whisky Company is back with its 13th independently bottled single grain Scotch whisky from the now closed Cambus Distillery! Matured for a mighty 30 years in hogshead casks, that Boutique-y gang got their hands on another stunner with this expression. The label shows a familiar snowy scene from these Cambus batches, depicting a snow family (including snow pets!) guarding a mountainous stack of barrels, and a little robin perched upon a bridge, but wait! Now there are two robins, wonder if they know each other?
Batch 13 is a release of 358 bottles.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Foam bananas, creamy caramel, and butterscotch welcome the way with plenty of sweet vanilla. Warm fluffy pancakes soften a crunch of peppery heat beneath.
Vanilla cream pastries, oily grain, and crisp apple mingle with sweet brown sugar, rich oak spice, gingery warmth, and a touch of tinny minerality.
The peppery warmth comes to the fore, still balanced by creamy grain and rich vanilla, with lingering oak spice.
