Description
The Bushmills Steamship Collection set sail in 2016 with the Sherry Cask Reserve - delicious triple distilled Irish single malt whiskey mature in first-fill oloroso sherry buttes. The Steamship Collection was released originally for the Travel Retail market, inspired by the 125th anniversary of the SS Bushmills maiden voyage.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sweet and rich with jammy red berries and ripe pear. Burnt toffee notes arrive after a minute or two.
Palate
Pineapple chunks drenched in rum and dotted with real cherries. A good helping of thick, sweet chocolate develops.
Finish
Mince pies, light fruity esters, a touch of cinnamon.
