A superb 10 year old Irish single malt whiskey and winner of Best Irish Single Malt Whiskey at the 2007 World Whiskies Awards. Wonderfully fruit-forward, with a good helping of vanilla and warming oaky spices in support.
Cooked banana and tropical fruit.
Guava, cantaloupe melon, over-ripe white peach, vanilla and peels.
Floral, spicy finish.
Add a drop of water and it tastes just like nectarine chunks in low fat yoghurt!

Amazing scent, taste and finish. This has been a staple tipple in my extensive cabinet of Irish and Scotch whiskies. A favourite whiskey of many years; and even if unintentional, Bushmills 10 Years Old is probably as near a benchmark as I'll admit to having. I had the real privilege on 14th July 2017 of touring their beautiful distillery in Bushmills town centre, up close to the Antrim coast – a "bucket list" moment of mine. Sharing it with me were a pleasant mix of enthusiasts that comprised a range of knowledge and experience. Whether or not you were a whisky drinker, everyone enjoyed the experience and I'd recommend the excursion to anyone. It was a rare chance to try some of the older Bushmills whiskies too. A memorable day. The 10 Year Old whiskey is simply to be sipped and savoured and unmolested by water (or worse).
I prefer the old bottling better. This one tastes more fruit heavy whereas the previous bottling was more creamy with a fruity topping. The sherry really overpowers the vanilla and honey from the bourbon casks and takes away from the desert like flavour of this.
It's many years since i had Bushmills so thought i would give it a spin as i got it at an incredible low price, & first impressions were you can easily tell It's definately an 'Irish' in a blind taste test, and although not complex, it's easy drinking and nicely smooth. I'm enjoying it and it will probably spur me on to try others in the Bushmills stable.
Not as complex as many a good bottle of scotch, but sweet, creamy and silky smooth. Great well rounded whiskey.
Really tasty. Can usually be found on offers at around £25 which is great value. This is light, sweet and delicate: tastes fruity and of milk chocolate. Gets more mellow the further you go down the bottle.
