Burnt ends - the sleeper hit of the barbecue world. Your brain might jump to Flintstone-sized racks of ribs and piles of pulled pork when barbecue is brought up, but those charred, smoky morsels are hard to beat. With that in mind, behold, Burnt Ends Blended Whisky! Inspired by the tasty goods served at the barbecue joints of the USA, this rich, meaty expression brings together smooth American rye whiskey and sherry cask-finished peated single malt Scotch whisky, all within a bottle that looks like it should hold barbecue sauce. It's meaty, smoky, rich and satisfying stuff.
Deliciously rich and spicy with rye notes prominent. Massive hit of peat quickly overtakes the proceedings, with more than a touch of apple juice in the background.
Epic. Barbecue sauce and smoky sausage all the way. The marriage of rye and peat hangs together perfectly.
Long, smoky, lingering.
A spectacularly put-together, highly unconventional whisk(e?)y which holds its own when sipped, but cries out for mixing.

2 bottles of this ordered - 2 bottles gone! Absolutely love it. Smokey and warm, just what you need when sitting next to an open fire. Oops, just ordered another one!
A wonderful smoky malt whisky
This is MAD... I love a smoky Malt and tried this as a novelty. Well I’m sold 4 in and bought some for friends this is 29.95 you’ll be glad you spent
Unconventional is the least you can say about this, at least I never had a blend of rye, peat and sherry so far, and that for a mere £30. Going beyond conventions would be the initial aim of the Atom Labs initiative and if this showcases what can be achieved by thinking outside the box by all means don’t stop here …
Positive reviews but a "meaty" flavour? Curiosity won me over and I'm glad it did. Not entirely sure I got the meaty flavour but it certainly is a very tasty whiskey. Smokey with just a little heat as it goes down. Lovely. It won't last long!
