Peated Bunna alert – bottled under the Staoisha name, this smoky single malt was distilled at Bunnahabhain in 2014, and then whacked into a hogshead that previously held Laphroaig and PX sherry! Now that's something you don't see every day. The Single Cask bottled it up for the Explorations series, with 302 bottles released at a burly 61.3% ABV.
Hibiscus, medicinal flecks, marzipan, oily nuts, and generous wafts of maritime smoke.
Burnt toffee, sticky plasters, waxy peels, stewed berries, and salty peat smoke.
Cherries, singed herbs, chilli spice, and lingering bonfire smoke.
