Bunnahabhain's Stiùireadair single malt pays homage to the distillery's shoreline on the north-east coast of Islay. They used whisky matured in first and second fill Sherry casks, with a leaning towards deliciously coastal malt.
Brine, toasted sugar and caramel-drizzled raisins.
Honey-roasted nuts, cinnamon and clove, with a touch of salt sea too.
Sherried peels and chilli-chocolate.

You've got to stick with this whisky and get past the initial harsh peppery spicy notes to then allow the lovely warm sherry and fruity, nutty notes to come through. Halfway through the bottle I thought I'd found the perfect whisky. Truly exceptional at this price point.
Outstanding drum. Bunnahabhain distillery should be congratulated. This is how whisky should be done.
Well for the price is unbeatable. Real whisky natural product.. 46% abv..respect.. it needs 5-10 minutes in the glass and there you go..as for the palate is up to anyones likes. For me is a real gem.. sweet but not to much..sea salt..slightly fruity..vanilla..barley..cinnamon ..this is a very balance whisky..i had maybe 6-7 bottles so far.. don’t need to say more..lovely stuff
Tried the sample bottle and it's not for me didn't like it. ( great that Master of Malt offer sample whiskeys so that you aren't buying and wasting a bottle of malt).
Overall a very peppery and spicy profile. Nice but I wouldn't buy again
