    Single Malt

    Bunnahabhain Eirigh Na Greine

Bunnahabhain's Eirigh Na Greine was originally released for the Travel Retail market, with its name meaning 'Morning Sky' in Gaelic. A portion of this single malt was matured in red wine casks, resulting in juicy berry notes throughout, blending well with the wafts of sea salt and orchard fruit.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Toasted sugar, vanilla, raspberries and a little honey.

    Palate

Apricot, sea salt, black pepper, more wine cask-influence berry sweetness.

    Finish

Smoky and quite long. A little bit spicy, too.

    One of my favourite ?

I like it very much! Smooth and awesome when I sipped! Very good whiskey! I love the taste!

    Highly drinkable dram

Lovely, smooth wine and sherry inflected spirit. You know it's a good one when you keep coming back to it.

    Excellent dram from Bunnahabhain.

Purchased in duty free at Heathrow. Nicely balanced and lots of character. Please ignore the "Worst Bunna Ever" review . I am not sure what he was drinking, but it wasn't this.

A very nice friendly flavourful dram

I purchased this fine single malt in Auckland, NZ. A few wee drams have been shared with fellow scotch drinkers to appreciate comments. I look forward to owning another bottle.

    Another favourite

The nose isn't too overpowering, but if your pour it into a glencairn glass and then give it a big sniffy-sniff it smells to me of cinnamon spice and dark chocolate. Drink it when cold and it could be a soft, rich speyside. It's a great introduction to Islay whiskies. When at room temperature it tastes of stewed fruits, hints of red wine, and has a very long sea salt finish. Near perfect whisky, can't understand a half-star review called "worst Bunna ever", from 19th March 2019...who I think is making a statement, and their statement is "I don't know about whisky"! That review nearly put me off buying it but I'm glad I ignored it!
