Single Malt
Scotland
A 32-year-old single malt from Islay's Bunnahabhain distillery, matured in succulent refill sherry cask, independently bottled to join the Forgotten Gems series. This collection is all about ensuring every drop of precious whisky makes it into the glasses of adoring fans, rather than let it be forgotten. What a relief that is when it comes to mighty expressions like this one! A release of 58 bottles.
Cooked apples, parkin, a touch of honey roast ham, buttered toast, and poached pear, then fragrant tobacco, hints of cooked blackberries, and malt loaf.
Robust layers of treacle toffee, burnt biscuits, dates, rich vanilla fudge, dark, bittersweet tamarind, cocoa, and dense old oak char.
Rich and sweet with dark jammy berries, dark chocolate with sour cherries, marshmallows, spiced apple, sticky ginger loaf, and elegant drying oak.

I've had 3 of these, they were better than most ob 30 bunnas. It was shocking how delicate and sweet it was when I first had it, almost thought i was drinking cognac! It opened up beautifully over a long period where I got to enjoy its changes. Wish there was more. Great price performance.
