    Bunnahabhain 25 Year Old

In what will be seen as a positive move to whisky connoisseurs, Bunnahabhain have decided to bottle the 25 year old without chill-filtration and without colouring. Presented in smoked oak glass bottle and aged label design.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Sherried; sweet toffee and polished leather followed by cinnamon and the faintest hint of cardamon.

    Palate

Fruit compote doused in cream and caster sugar, this develops into roasted malt, chestnuts and stewed raisins.

    Finish

Demerara sugar, mixed spice, nutmeg and caramel lingering for long after the final sip.

    Overall

Bunnahabhain with twenty-five years aging opens up the spirit to a plethora of rich, dark flavours that stay with the drinker long after the glass is finished.

    Amazing!

This is just a super dram! Damn! I get a little liquorice at the end of the palate - salty, smooth finish. This is a must have for Bunna drinkers. Got mine for £185 from world of whiskies.

    best in show

I went to Whisky Live last night and this for me was the outstanding whisky of the night - complex and smooth and perfectly balanced. Now I'm summoning up the courage to spend the money.....

    This is the best

My favorite whisky! More expensive than the Signatory Glenglassaugh 32-year, but definitely worth it! In this range, in addition to the Glenglassaugh, I have also experienced the Tomintoul 33-year, Benromach 30-year. This is my favorite of all of them. It's pricy, but you have to experience this. On the nose, there's vanilla and caramel, and an earthy fertile smell that tempts me to try fertilizing my garden with it! The first flavors are sweet, perhaps a creme broulee or glazed pecans. Then spices start to present themselves---perhaps cinnamin? Pepper? The finish is oh so very long, complex, sweet---no spciy--- no sweet! Ahhhh!

    Smooth silky delicious

Long lasting, just a hint of peat smoke. I thought it presented with a touch of caramel but I seem alone in this opinion. Absolutely delicious.
