Even though Fèis Ìle didn't go ahead in 2020, Bunnahabhain still released its exceptional whisky bottled specially for the festival! This one was distilled in 2002, and matured in its coastal warehouses for many moons until it was treated to a three year finish in Madeira casks. It's all figs, vanilla, cinnamon and marmalade in this limited edition, with 1,164 bottles released at 56.9% ABV. A great dram for celebrating Fèis Ìle at home!
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Sweet ripe figs, creamy berries and orange marmalade with hints of nutmeg.
A layered complexity of sweet vanilla, caramelised fruit and rich spicy cinnamon packed with raisins and hints of dry oak.
A dry but warm finish, fading into a lingering sweet marmalade finish.
