This impressive bottle of Bunnahabhain was distilled back in October 2002, and then spent the next 16 years maturing exclusively in a bourbon hogshead. In March 2019 the single malt was bottled at 51% ABV by The Whisky Baron for the Founder's Collection, with a limited release of 258 bottles.
Delicate, sweet and creamy, with lots of vanilla and floral honey, developing into dried apricot and iced buns.
Victoria vanilla sponge with vanilla cream, with even more prominent floral honey, creamy caramel and peach.
Juicy apricot bursts onto the finish with very gentle oak spices lingering.
