We got hold of this belter from Bunnahabhain and bottled it up for our own Master of Malt collection. Distilled in 2009, this single malt enjoyed 15 years mellowing out in a refill hogshead, yielding 324 bottles (without added colour or chill filtration) when it was opened in 2025. Packed with notes of baked earth and butterscotch.
Grilled peach and creamy apricot, vanilla fudge, shortbread, and burnt biscuits. Browned butter, more stone fruits, and sweet black tea.
Silky butterscotch opens the way, with ripe fruit, condensed milk, creamy caramel, and earthy tea. Treacle sponge, and gentle woody spices gather beneath.
Flambéed fruit, vanilla ice cream, a hint of clove, roasted coffee. Jelly sweets, burnt cream, and warming nutmeg linger.
