    Bunnahabhain 14 Year Old 2008 (cask 3838013) - The Octave (Duncan Taylor)

    From Duncan Taylor's The Octave indie bottling series, which sees whiskies finished in small octave casks, comes a beautiful Bunnahabhain single malt. It was distilled in 2008, and matured for 14 years, including three months in the aforementioned octave cask. In 2023, it was bottled up at 54.5% ABV, with an outturn of just 81 bottles.

    Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

    Rock pool minerality, pineapple syrup, drying oak, musty malt, somewhat grassy.

    Palate

    Waxy and resinous with citrus peel, vanilla, diced almonds, oak char, apricot yogurt, saline, and cinnamon.

    Finish

    Fruity and fresh.
