Independent bottler Woodrow's of Edinburgh bagged a brilliant cask of single malt from Bunnahabhain here. Distilled in February 2012, the whisky spent 11 years maturing, including a finish in an oloroso sherry hogshead. A total of 264 bottles were released in February 2023.
Cocoa, runny caramel, toasted pecans, a touch of polished oak.
Candied almonds and sultanas join chocolate raisins, with dried berries and baking spice gathering beneath.
Fruit cake, biscuity malt, cinnamon, and toffee, with a touch of clove and peppery oak in tow.
Sweet, spice, nutty, smooth and moreish. This is dangerously good! If you like Bunnah and/or like sherried whisky.... this is your dram!
