Bulleit Rye is made with a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley and is produced in small batches. An absolutely stunning rye that won a Double Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2013.
Big heaps of cherries and vanilla, with subtle notes of leather and tobacco.
Rather hot at first, the spices coming to the forefront. This is followed by peaches, more cherries and a little bit of orange zest.
A smoky finish, carried by cinnamon, allspice and a hint of sweeties.

I don't usually go for a rye bourbon, but damn this is good. I was advised to go for the 12 year rye but you'll be very lucky to find the 12 in England. Highly recommend this, it smells like Christmas in a glass, absolutely heavenly, tastes fantastic too. MoM, if you're reading this, please please please get the 12 year rye in stock
A fantastic whiskey, great straight or with a mixer
My first foray into rye ended up being one of the best. I tried a few others but keep coming back to this one, it's got enough bite to keep you on your toes but between the spice and vanilla enough taste to make every sip enjoyable. I think I'll be making this a staple in my cupboard

Bulleit is my favourite bourbon by far,just discovered rye whisky and Bulleit rye is a tad more spice along with ezra brooks the best value rye whisky
