Traveller Whiskey
Traveller Whiskey was created by x10 Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and musician Chris Stapleton and Buffalo Trace Distillery’s master distiller, Harlen Wheatley. The name Traveller is taken from Stapleton's debut studio album, which included whiskey-themed songs such as Tennessee Whiskey and Whiskey and You. The spirit itself is crafted from a unique combination of whiskeys, all hand-selected from The Sazerac Company’s award-winning distilleries, then bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof).
Traveller Whiskey was awarded Best in Class Gold at the 2024 Whiskies of the World competition and Gold at the Spirits Business American Whiskey Masters 2024.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Toasted oak, sweet maple, and tart currant then aged leather and creamy vanilla.
Palate
Maple sweetness coats the tongue but with a robust spicy depth, like eating warm gingerbread that was dipped in honey. Toasted nuts, dark fruit, tobacco, and a hint of Big Red cinnamon.
Finish
The oak char gives a smoky, sweet quality to the finish which still has plenty of spice, nuttiness, and baked fruit notes.
