Nicknamed “Ar duthcas”- Gaelic for “Land of our heritage”, peated to 40ppm, matured in American oak, and bottled at cask strength. Very very very nice dram. Peat smoke heavy on entry, mid-palate and swallow but it is the other subtitles that make this what it is - one of Isaly's finest. Hints of citrus, and coffee-buttery thickness and a pronounced sweetness make you want more and the high abv makes your whole mouth tingle after drinking. Following the swallow your mouth starts watering and it's almost impossible to resist pouring another nip. This bottle wont last long.
