Nose Fresh rye bread with an olive oil, sea salt and black pepper glaze, butter beans, tomato stem, stony beaches and a little bit of soot.
Palate Rather orange-y on the palate, with a touch of chocolate malt supporting the subtle sweetness. Peat is light and coastal, though grows in intensity. Quite meaty, too.
Finish Rounded toasty barrel char with a slight vegetal hint persist. A final note of iced buns too.
Overall A complex though inviting Port Charlotte single malt we've got here.
