Introduced as the flagship Port Charlotte expression produced by Bruichladdich in 2018, this 10 year old single malt from the Isle of Islay is a lip-smackingly smoky number indeed. It's peated to 40ppm, and drawn from a combination of first-fill American whiskey casks, second-fill American whiskey casks and second-fill French wine casks.
Salted caramel brownie, flamed orange peel, a hearty whack of seaweed.
Oak-y smoke and salty sea air, paired with sweeter notes of Custard Cream biscuits and white grape.
Ginger snaps, rye toast, drying peat smokiness.

I was impressed with this one, great value for money. Balanced, i found notes of requefort , unbusual but and that was really pleasant. Great islay.
Very nice, agree with the whiskeytubers and comments below that really enjoy this dram. Perfect on a crisp chilly night by a fire. Good value at $70 in my market. Better than laphroaig 10 I think. Held off giving it 5 stars as I would give Ardbeg Uigeadail and Correyvrekan an edge even at the higher price points because those offer more depth and complexity, but this is one I will get again and give as a Christmas gift to peat lovers. Slainte! Makes a fantastic Godfather too, my favorite whiskey cocktail.
tasty stuff, been lookin at it in my wishlist for a while an im so glad i bought it, sure to buy another!
Beautiful taste, will definitely be buying another in the future!
A superb dram frae Islay, ane tae savour of an evening. The joy o thay flavours on the tung is ayont ma simple wurds. It maun be nectar, spiritual as weel as physical.
