Description
Originally sold as a distillery exclusive, this is an impressive 10-year-old batch of Bruichladdich's heavily peated Octomore single malt. Aged for a total of 10 years, the whisky was transferred to Pineau des Charentes casks in 2018, developing sweet layers of dried fruit alongside its smoky, peaty core.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Dried fruit, butterscotch and caramel with buttered popcorn and fragrant peat smoke.
Palate
Sweet smoked fruit balanced with vanilla, Manuka honey, subtle spices and toasted oak.
Finish
Wood spices, coffee and charred oak while delicate peat smoke and burnt heather linger.
