    Bruichladdich Waves (1st Edition)

A 2008 release from the Bruichladdich distillery, the name Waves reflects notes of crisp, fresh fruits and a touch of light spice alongside typical 'Laddie coastal tones.

Please reconsider production of waves again. Heavily pleated whiskeys are not my preference. Neither are unseated whiskey. The slightly pleated Waves is just perfect.

A very delicate subtle peat whiskey which is right up my taste and preference alley. The delightful slightly salty seaweed taste and at same time a sweetness. But in balance. Many whiskeys are strong due to the alcoholic strength and often too sweet due to the vanilla, honey or toffee tastes. In the Waves the sweet and salt balance is perfect . Taste is personal and I am sad you have discontinued this perfect balanced taste whiskey.

    I like it!

Summer evenings on the beach, driftwood fire going, sand in the toes, just mellow. Don't really like peaty whiskies this one has a delicate aftertaste. Sorry it's discontinued!! Only have a miniature left. :(

    Good Stuff IMO

How arrogant to claim its not for the uneducated palate, everyone's palate is different, only a complete snob would turn his nose up at this offering. I personally love it and would recommend it to anyone. Jim Murray rated it 85/100!

Not tasted it, but please ignore whisky snobbery

I'm sorry for posting this on the reviews, but please ignore any posts such as the post entitled "not for an educated palate"; give it a poor rating if you don't like it and a good rating if you enjoy it - I have whishies ranging from £30 to over £200, blends, vatted malts, single malts, ryes, corn, grain, single barrels, and more regions than I can name. Price, age, region, type and complexity should be ignored as fancies of your mind and not your heart. Over-complication can kill the enjoyment as much as one-dimensionality. Anyone who belittles another's taste is only trying to compensate for other failings in life by trying to make out that they are superior and everyone else is inferior. Even Jim Murray admits to a liking for many simple style whiskers.
