A single malt from Islay's Bruichladdich distillery, made with a selection of unpeated whiskies of various vintages from their maturing warehouses and finished in French red wine casks.

Brown sugar and cinnamon, followed by a heaped spoonfuls of strawberry jam.
More red fruits (think strawberries again but now with some cherry and raspberry in the mix). Slight hints of coastal breeze.
Medium length, with sea air and barley sugar lingering.

My current favourite on special winters evening in front of a log fire but running out so 2 or 3 drams a year only. Smooth brilliant flavours and still great without "Rocks" my way.
Nothing like I expected, sweet with a strong strawberry nose and palate, sugar and maybe some other fruits, but well worth a try. Nice finish of grain and a coastal breeze.
