Single Malt
Scotland
1 Jan 1994

A somewhat mysterious Islay whisky, it's Bruichladdich Black Art 7.1! The whisky is the product of the marriage of casks filled in 1994, the very same year that Bruichladdich closed (until 2001 when it reopened, of course). The whisky was left to matured for an entire quarter of a century! Even after all that time, head distiller Adam Hannett managed to keep the specific casks that aged the single malt a secret. Finally, in 2019, at the age of 25 years old the whisky was bottled, with an outturn of 8,500 bottles at 48.4% ABV.

Caramel, viscous, nutty, sherried delight. Definitely one of the best out there.
