As with the previous batches, the Laddie behind the conveyor belt is having to memorise a whole bunch of items, most of which are references to the many releases from the Bruichladdich distillery on Islay. However, it looks like the cuddly toy has become transparent...
Batch 4 is a release of 285 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, blended malts, blends and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic-novel-style labels.
Reminiscent of a chicken sandwich on rye bread or chicken parmigiana, becoming fruitier with whole raspberries.
Coconut milk, candied flowers, mint (mint choc chip?), pralines and barley.
Long with cocoa and then a full Mississippi mud pie developing.
This is just at the transition point of rolling over into that absolutely wonderful tropical fruit islay flavour. Superb.
