The fourth release of the legendary Bruichladdich Black Art whisky. With the recipe a mystery to everyone apart from the creator, it's still a cryptic enigma.

Had this at the bar before I decided to buy it and in one man's opinion its not worth the expense. 89/100 Now I had this with two other whiskys that were $179 - $339 and used water between the testing. I like big flavors and Black Arts doesn't deliver. I don't work for anyone in the industry this is just my own experience. The Kavalan Soloist Vhino & Fino Sherry were better hands down... The price point I this falls into is $159 - $180 tops. I can and have found better above this point.
This beauty changes every 10mins, every 15mins it's like a different dram, and shows so many layers and sides, there's leather, wood varnish and musk, then sherry & rich fruits, and that earthy vegetal note that unpeated Bruichladdich has! Absolutely magnificent. The guy that gave this half star probably added ice. #justsaying
I have been drinking Scotch whisky for over 60 years and I have never tasted any better. I tried the Octomore 7.3 at the same Bruichladdich Master Class and it comes in a close second.
Supremely complex and powerful.. yet at the same time delicate and earthy. Tried it in the black cat in Edinburgh. One of the best bang for buck i've had.
I was lucky to be able to taste this at a tasting or I never would have shelled out the $200. I'm glad I did or I would have miss out on this glorious elixir.
