Best ever!

First Impressions

Left me wanting a little bit more complexity in terms of tart lighter fruit experience I've come to love with Springbank. It's a very good whisky and you can tell it's very well made with good cask selection but I'm such a springbank fan and springbank always has those lighter orchard tart citrus fruits that carry it finish on very nice. This has great vanilla, honey, barley notes on the nose as well as more deeper and rich notes but the finish does land a bit on the flat side for me. It could have used a few more wine casks possibly. It's not short but it finishes a bit vegetal and not too exciting. This is of course my first impression and it will probably get better with oxidation.

Amazing

Flagship whisky from Laddie. Too bad it was discontinued. Beware that there is quite big quality variations between batches

Too expensive!

Not worth the price charged here. The whisky is good, but MoM are overplaying the rarity card here. This is ridiculous. The rating above is including the price charged, which massively affects it.

I love it. U did drink it, however, before I read the reviews containing the "V" word. I found no evidence of the v-smell at all. Eichyd da!
