Octave casks are wonderful little rascals which are considerably smaller than your standard cask, meaning greater surface area to volume ratio, which means more cask influence - hence why Duncan Taylor have their own range of indie bottlings finished in octave casks! This one is a 4 year old single malt from the Royal Brackla distillery, which sent 9 months in an octave cask before being bottled. 113 bottles were produced.
Peanut brittle and nougat. A touch of grist alongside fruity esters.
Gummy Bears, jam tarts and hearty cooking spices.
Lingering heat and light vanilla.
