All the way from Islay's Bowmore Distillery comes a 22 year old single malt, distilled back in 1997. Drawn from a single sherry butt, this excellent expression was independently bottled by The Character of Islay Whisky Company, as part of The Stories of Wind & Wave series, which is all about shining a spotlight on the fantastic tipples coming from Islay-based distilleries.
Tangy tropical fruit up front, backed up by chocolate mousse and a hint of bonfire ash.
Orange oil, nutty barley, a subtle hint of fruity esters and another helping of dark chocolate.
Lasting sweetness, balanced by sooty smoke.
