Originally released for the Travel Retail market, this 10 year old Bowmore single malt is a marriage of Spanish oak Sherry casks and hogsheads, resulting in a fine balance between classic coastal Islay smoke and Sherried sweetness.
Salted pretzels, fruitcake and a pinch of cinnamon.
Flamed orange peel, sea salt, Cadbury Bournville.
Spiced rum warmth, with layers of toasted malt.

Delicious whiskey, smooth and enjoyable from the very first sip. Well balanced blend of sweet and smokey. Amazing colour, will definitely be picking up another bottle.
I don't understand why people are rating it bad. A class Islay malt in a budget range . Not too smoky ,a perfectly balanced whisky .
Amazing whisky! Worth trying for Islay lovers. Budget range is also great
Better than I expected, but I wont be buying any more.
Nasty colour, immediately gives away the E150. The fact that they had to put "Dark & intense"on the bottle says something about the drink - it is definitely not dark and not intense without the added enhancers. Nose: Slightly smoky and peaty, sweet caramel, orange & cloves, fresh alcohol. You really have to dig out the aromas, adding water and letting it sit helps a lot. 3/5 Taste: Tastes like artificial sweeteners - not good and definitely not pleasant. Burnt caramel, bitter aftertaste, hints of wormwood, just a SMALL hint of walnut. Extremely overpowering young spirit taste throughout. And what a dissapointment - no smoke or peat whatsoever! it's from Islay and is being marketed as smokey... 1/5 Finish: Fast finish, oily mouthfeel, not pleasant artificial sweetener lingering in the background. 1/5 Summary: Disappointment. It's young, bland, generic and artificial tasting. There are far better whiskeys out there, don't waste your time on this.
