11 year old American whiskey here from the Boondocks range, bottled up at cask strength – a weighty 59% ABV. This whiskey is packed to the brim with bold vanilla and spicy oak notes, with a helping of warming rye thrown in for good measure too. Very impressive stuff.
Dark chocolate, cassia, cedar, vanilla pod earthiness.
Shortbread, flaked almonds, coffee bean, peppery rye, buttery corn.
Brandy snaps, fresh ginger, a whisper of smoke.
