Joining the Whistler collection from Ireland's Boann distillery, this Irish whiskey combines a host of malts and grains selected and married by its head distiller. Initially matured in bourbon barrels, the whiskies were transferred to oloroso sherry casks for a six-month finish, imparting satisfying layers of honeyed fruit and spiced nuts to the notes of vanilla and citrus at its core.
Waves of vanilla, fudge, crisp apple, and floral spiced honey, backed by toasted oak, lemon drizzle, and nutty malt.
Oaken vanilla leads the way, joined by runny caramel, a hint of marmalade, and a touch of pepper. Honeyed granola joins, with candied nuts in tow.
