Wine Cask
A rather excellent bottling of whisky from the Blair Athol Distillery, released by Berry Bros. & Rudd. It was fully matured in a barrique which previously held Californian red wine, and aged between 2009 to 2021. It was finally bottled up at 55.2% ABV, with 234 bottles produced.
Warm apple pastries with dustings of cinnamon and brown sugar, joined by earthy hints of oak and barley.
Juicy raspberry, raisin cookies, polished oak, almond paste, powerful spices building.
A splash of citrus on the finish.
