    Single Malt

Blair Athol 12 Year Old 2009 (cask 30793) - The Cooper's Choice (The Vintage Malt Whisky Co.)

An interesting release from The Cooper's Choice range – this is an independently bottled Blair Athol single malt, which has been finished in a Cadillac wine cask! The whisky was distilled in November 2009, and it was initially aged in American oak casks, before being moved over to the aforementioned sweet French wine casks. Eventually, in 2022, after 12 years of maturation, the whisky was bottled with an outturn of 306 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Apple pie, hazelnuts, slightly drying flinty hints with fragrant barley developing.

    Palate

Still very fruit forward, with white grape and honeyed pear, followed by a handful of baking spices.

    Finish

Yet more honey notes last on the finish.
