Independently bottled single malt from Blair Athol, distilled in 2006 and allowed to mature for a dozen years in a single cask. Before bottling, the whisky was treated to a finishing period in a Bordeaux wine barrique, imparting a glorious vinous fruit character. Bottled in July 2021 by DS Tayman, with a total of 383 bottles produced.
Sweet caramel and sugared fruit, a whiff of green oak, and gentle spice.
Jammy fruit notes lie beneath nutty chocolate, woody liquorice and a whiff of baking spice.
Spiced fruits, gingerbread, pressed red grape skin, peppery oak.
